What is a Virtual Career Experience Event?
VCE events are online-live interactions with a local healthcare professional. You can learn about the professional's academic and career journey, their daily routine, starting or average salary and types of patients they see or work with throughout the day. Participating students will have the opportunity to ask professionals questions.

What is Health Careers Path 2 Practice?
The Health Careers Path2Practice (P2P) Certificate consists of 6 courses with sections/ modules within each course. These courses assist students that are unsure or undecided, with an interest in a healthcare profession, to have a learning opportunity with little cost risk to try out multiple pathways of interest. The P2P certificate will be offered to students in higher education across Wisconsin, regardless of their high school exposure to health care careers, participating college, university, and senior level high school students have the opportunity to explore health careers, participate in community-based experiential learning, and complete social/cultural competency training. The P2P certificate includes six courses written at college rigor, which introduces clinical, administrative, public health, and research roles. It will also provide opportunities for self-assessment in terms of aptitude and interest.

A job shadow is a non-hands on observational experience. You'll spend limited time with a professional in the health care area of interest in order to see what their daily job is like. For students interested in the healthcare field; the experience lasts 4 hours or less.
