How do I set up a 4 hour or less Job Shadow?
***Remember, if you are a high school student, you MUST attend a Career Experience Event before being considered for a job shadow.***
The Fox Valley Health Care Alliance places significant emphasis on professionalism and readying your high schooler for a professional environment. Parents must refrain from making contact to any of the health care facility representatives on behalf of your high schooler. All communication concerning job shadow opportunities will be conducted between the student and the health care facility representatives. Adherence to this expectation allows the maximum growth of the participant throughout the experience.
on Update (September 15, 2021): area healthcare organizations are working very hard on keeping patients, community members,
and team members safe regarding the spread of COVID-19/Coronavirus and other variants. As part of this effort,
area organizations are limiting the number of people going in and out of their facilities which has led to job shadows being indefinitely suspended for high school students.
College students needing REQUIRED professional observations may inquire about availability, see job shadow link on the extended JS page.
Please check back here for further updates as we are continuously monitoring the status of student opportunities. As soon as high school job shadows are allowed we will restore the necessary information to this page. Thank you so much for your patience.
