About our Health Careers CampThe annual Fox Valley Summer Health Careers Camp is a collaborative initiative of the FVHCA. Program coordination and staff support is provided by Northeastern WI Area Health Education Center.
The Camp is a 3 day program that provides an opportunity for high school students to experience first hand the challenges, opportunities and rewards of health professions. The hands-on activities are facilitated by instructors and health care professionals. Diversity awareness and leadership skills training are included as a part of the camp experience. Chaperones are present on site at all times. The first annual Summer Health Careers Camp was held in July of 2005 in Manitowoc and Sheboygan Counties. In the summer of 2007, a second camp was added in the Fox Valley area. |
